Cartoon Army
An ever interesting mesh of electronica, classical, rock and folk music.  Here is what Adam has written about his music which desbribes both the latter and his own outlook on this crazy & beautiful world.  “This is music for those who feel drawn, and may occassionally see the world more as ink blots, brush strokes and sketches from an unseen hand that can create, preserve, and destroy with the joy of a child of infinity.”  Adam fulton has an incredible set of ears and an acute sensitivity and generosity for others.  A fine composer, musician, producer and great friend.

Catriana van Rijn
(David Ward’s graphic designer – email hidden; JavaScript is required)
An incredible eye for design and colour.  Winning multiple competitions and awards for her designs she continues to surprise and inspire with her work.  A sweet, gentle and patient soul with a light that touches all those she encounters.

Eli Bennet
An award-winning tenor saxophonist and composer Eli Bennett is recognized as one of the most compelling young saxophonists in North America. He has performed with over a dozen music legends including Oscar Peterson, Hank Jones, Maria Schneider, Roy Hargrove, James Moody, Barry Harris, and Patti Austin.  He enthusiastically agreed to our send out of plea for a horn player for our record.  Looking forward to playing more shows with him.

Dawn Pemberton
A warm, gentle and generous soul – not to mention a rich set of pipes.  I met Dawn in a choir I sang with for a year.  She is involved in a number of groups – one of the busiest and most soulful musicians I know.  I love working with her.  A friend indeed.

Faspa
Faspa is an improvisational gospel trio consisting of piano, violin and voice.  Their concerts range from the serious to the ridiculous and are fun for young and old.

No Shit Shirleys
7 soulful singing women offering up an acapella stew guaranteed to kick you in the pants.  Singing everything from Cuban carnival music to tragic Russian love songs to sweet Mandarin flirtations this group of friends is an absolute joy to watch perform.

Ryan Naso
Fantastic trumpet player who works well with others and has a great ear for harmony.  Writes some spanky lines and always a pleasure to work with.

Dan Mangan
Tying together the roots of acoustic folk music and subtle symphonic pop Dan’s music is unabashedly mellow and beautiful.  A warm soul with tons of success building in his career.  Excited for his next record and our next coffee.

Graeeme Brown
Rumoured to be the “zen master” of sound Graeeme Brown is an engineer of great talent.  He gave us exactly what we wanted on our record and masters with sensitivity and an attention to detail.  Warm, funny and generous guy.

Rosemary Siemans
I met Rosemary through a family friend.  She came out to a gig where we had run out of material and were asked to play another hour.  She happened to have her violin in the car so she grabbed it, came up on stage and jammed for an hour with a complete stranger.  An incredible violin player with a sweet and generous soul.

Five Alarm Funk
Five Alarm Funk is Vancouver’s own afro-funk orchestra.  Intense horn lines and percolating afro-beat guitar combined with the interplay of four percussionists create an unstoppable dance party.  Their drummer of monstrous proportions, Tayo Branston, played with me for a year while Greg was in LA studying.  He was down for anything and everything which is exemplified in our string of Christmas shows a year ago playing in the corner of the LuLu Lemon yoga wear store on 4th ave.  A great guy with incredible energy that leads a driving force of funk on stage.

Marianas Trench
The man who leads this band recorded my first ever album “Saved by a Fender” which included a front cover of me threatening a bear with my Fender acoustic guitar.  One of my childhood friends plays guitar and amongst the other three sings lush and interesting harmonies that stand between the Beach Boy’s and Jellyfish.  A novel mix of brash and innocent, yearning melodicism and over-the-top rock dynamics.

Mushroom Studios
Dirty, musty, haunted and historic studio of magic.  We had a great time laying it down here and making the space our own.  Using incredible equipment you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else and working with fanastic people we forged memories here that will last us forever.

Hipposonic Studios
Mushroom’s sister studio.  Great vibe which is crucial when you spend so many hours both revelling and toiling in the process of recording music.

Jeff Younger
A guitar teaching guru and friend.  Jeff is a composer and player like no other.  He has been nothing but good to me over the time that I’ve known him.  He has many different groups spanning the gamut of music from experimental jazz, to dirty-country-rock, to deep scrunky funk, to stuff I can’t even begin to describe.  His methods and turns of phrase for music continue to form my base for guitar.
